Apprentice Of The Year
The Fix Auto UK Apprentice of the Year Award celebrates the outstanding apprentices within the Fix Auto UK bodyshop group and commemorates the life of Nigel Luffman, who recognised the importance of building a sustainable industry through apprenticeships.
For 2026, we will crown one winner in each of the following two categories:
1. Technical Hero of the Year For apprentices completing a technical course:
MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim)
Panel Technician
Paint Technician
2. Customer Champion of the Year For apprentices completing a customer or support-focused course:
Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)
Bodyshop Administrator
Customer Service Administrator
Parts Administrator
Award Criteria & Entry Terms
Apprentices must be nominated in the category that matches their apprenticeship course.
We’re looking for examples of apprentices who have gone above and beyond in their role and made a positive impact on the business.
There will be one winner per category.
Only one nomination per apprentice, per category is permitted, so please ensure your submission is detailed and fully demonstrates their achievements.
Nominees can be at any stage/year of their Apprenticeship
Nominees must be a current apprentice at a Fix Auto franchise.
Award Details
The two winners will be selected by a judging panel consisting of Mark Hutchins, Cheryl Chung and Eleanor Baker Barnes. The awards will be presented during the evening awards celebration, beginning at 5.30pm at the Vox Conference Centre.
Each winner will receive full access to both Conference days (Wednesday 27th May and Thursday 28th May), along with a two-night stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
